LAKE TINAROO

Group Bookings/Staff Parties/Team building

Lake Tinaroo acts as a reservoir for the water supply to the Atherton Tablelands and feeds the Barron River that flows all the way through Cairns to the Ocean. With a surface area of 3,500 hectares there is plenty to explore!!

Queensland Parks and Wildlife care for the portion of Tinaroo that we paddle. This area is both beautiful, and home to much wildlife. The differing climate and scenery of the Tablelands is astounding and shows the beauty and diversity of our region.

We offer lessons, tours, and SUP Yoga for group bookings, school camps and family day out.

  • All equipment, guide, rescues and instruction

DOUBLE ISLAND

Our Ocean Adventure takes us out into the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. On a flat day, we paddle out to Double and Scout Hat Islands, one kilometre offshore. This adventure is not for the faint-hearted!!

View the abundant wildlife including turtles, manta rays, sting rays, shovelnose sharks and dolphins to name but a few. Lap the Island or relax and snorkel around the fringing reef. This is one not to be missed while visiting FNQ!

Included in the trip:

  • All National Park Taxes

  • All equipment guide and instruction

Departing at 6am from Buchans Point,

meet at 5.45am at Buchans Point

Beach carpark, return 9am.

Buchan's Beach is located just north of Palm Cove and provides our access point to Double Island. Locally known as the "nudie beach", avert your eyes if you blush easily!

Aside from the...ahem..."views", this beach is absolutely beautiful and provides views up to the Daintree on a clear day. This beach stretches up to Ellis Beach. There are no facilities here and very few people.

Ellis Beach is Cairns most northern serviced beach. With no bus service to Ellis, it is far less busy than Trinity Beach. From Ellis Beach, the beautiful rugged FNQ coastline extends north with expansive views and is just magical!

Included in the trip:

  • Rescues, skills

  • All equipment guide and instruction
