This 3N/4 day adventure explores tropical North Queensland's Fitzroy island, including paddling with turtles, on a guided snorkel safari with your first night camping on a tropical island.
Then it's off to visit the inland lakes in the Atherton Tablelands. You will have extra activities including visiting Lake Echam for a fresh water snorkel and bush walks, and visiting the illusive platypus in the village of Yungaburra.
Taste test the yummy chocolate and cheese at Gallo Cheese and the local waterfalls with the opportunity to spot tree kangaroos.
The experience covers reef and rainforest with over 5 paddles, all SUP/camping equipment and SUP tips and techniques along the way.
All meals included and all you have to bring is your clothes, towels, sleeping bag and pillow.

Our SUP and snorkels on these days will be a little longer than usual - around 2 hours each. Note that the locations may change depending on the weather; other islands may include Dunk Islands and Family Islands off the Cassowary Coast from Mission Beach

On our adventure tour you will also get to do some reef monitoring and data collection for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Parks.

DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1• Depart 8am from the Reef Fleet Terminal 45 min boat journey • Set up camp on arrival • Moring tea • Guided snorkel adventure • Lunch • 2hr SUP experience • Afternoon tea • Guided walk to the famous Nudey Beach • Dinner at 6pm at Foxy’s bar and grill • FIRST NIGHT CAMP

Day 2• Sunrise hike to the SUMMIT • Breakfast • Snorkel • Pack up and depart the island at 12.15pm • Drive to Lake Tinaroo 2hr drive to the lake • Time to relax around the fire and have a BBQ dinner • SECOND NIGHT CAMPING ON THE LAKE

Day 3• Breakfast • Morning paddle 2hrs water time • Lunch • Off to Yungaburra village • Platypus viewing station • Lake Echam for a swim and fresh water snorkel • Afternoon tea on the lake • Sunset paddle • Head back to Camp • Relax by the fire with another yummy meal • 3 NIGHT CAMPING ON THE LAKE
